I didn't over tighten it but after a week of wearing the buckle popped off along the seam line. I bought three from the seller and am now hesitant to use the other two. I understand they probably make a million of these, but someone has to check thread tension, material thickness, stitch spacing, etc. otherwise the price will never be fair to the buyer.
