I have several portable Bluetooth speakers and this is the loudest. And surprisingly, this increase in volume doesn't come at the expense of sound quality/fidelity. Don't try to compare this to Bose or Sonos speakers - you're looking at the wrong price range - but for the price this speaker is rock solid. The speaker's build quality surprised me... it seemed... more substantial and premium than I expected. I think I was expecting a little more plastic, but the grille is nicely metallic and the base is rubbery. The buttons protrude outwards and make a pleasant "click" when pressed. The speaker is designed to play sound in all directions (similar to some new Echo speakers) (just not up or down). Speaking of Echo speakers, while they don't compare to Bose/Sonos in terms of quality, they offer better volume/sound quality than current-gen Echo devices (though without Alexa, of course). One of the most appealing features of this speaker is of course the waterproof design. I have tested it and can report that its water resistance is definitely confirmed. I've held it fully submerged for over 10 minutes while playing music with no issues. (Very funny to see the subwoofer squirt some water off the speaker when the bass is stronger). Now you also can't hear any sound when submerged in water, but that's no surprise. Bluetooth signal also decreases when submerged in water (not surprising either). So when using the speaker underwater, all you have to do is hold your phone closer to the speaker. When not submerged in water, Bluetooth signal range was excellent. I expect this will never be an issue - you want a speaker that can get wet without cracking, but scenarios where you want to use it fully submerged strike me as pretty flimsy. As for other notable features. , there are two notes: It has a "Bass Boost" option, which didn't seem to have much of an impact on the bass in the songs I was listening to. However, this did not bother me as I found the bass to be very good, even when Bass Boost was in Normal mode. Another feature allows you to link two of these speakers together so you can use one as the left channel and the other as the right channel. I only have one of these speakers, so I wasn't able to test this feature. The speaker comes with a 2-year warranty, which is pretty unusual for a technological device. This is a welcome advantage that I hope I won't have to take advantage of. One final note: I've successfully paired this with my computer, multiple phones, and a smart projector, but for some reason my Fire tablet never saw it, even after a reboot. .I also attached a video review but it's difficult Identify the sound quality of the speaker from the video as you are limited by both the quality of the microphone on my phone (which recorded the video) and the quality of the speakers/headphones you are reusing to watch videos. That being said, I hope you find this helpful.
