I was looking for a collar and decided on this one. I wanted one that would detach in an emergency, but not so flimsy that it detaches easily, and I like that the strength can be adjusted. After some trial and error, we settled on the highest settings for our big cat. He tries to rip it off with his paw (and succeeds on medium settings). The only thing is that the safety clasp is also a real buckle so I think if you remove the collar repeatedly it will wear down the strength of the button. love it though
