Review on πŸ”© Enhance Your Screw Driving with the Milwaukee 48-32-1700 Insert Bit Set, 20-Piece by James Bull

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I bought it for $3 so it's hard to complain but I will anyway.

Cheap workmanship. It's a sticker on the top, not a logo embossed on the plastic, and the color of my sticker doesn't match the case. The screwdriver guide is not the one pictured and I didn't really like the action on mine (something scratches the inner barrel as it moves back and forth. I have an identical DeWalt screwdriver guide made in China that I got from a hex bit set with gotten a little smoother driving I criticized another reviewer for complaining about 7 identical bits, not realizing that the bit types and sizes were actually stamped on the plastic, which for some reason worried me more since mislabeling makes it look sillier than I thought. The bits sit slanted and there's extra clearance at the bottom so it's just a bit more to put in your jean pocket. I think it's 1.5" tall The magnet just isn't strong enough for my liking It sticks well to a metal tool box but not with enough strength to keep it from sliding off. A little more tape and it would be fine. However, it should be easily upgradeable. I still like the Ignite design. It's a convenient and compact way to carry bits that fit easily in a jacket pocket. The way it distributes beats helps you remember to put things back before picking up another, and it's quicker and less messy than searching in a box. I don't want to test it but the plastic seems to be of good quality so you can drop it from 10ft and not be surprised if nothing breaks. I would give 2-3 stars for mediocrity but hey $3. Even for $10-12 you get a fair amount of non-redundant hex bits and a decent key to select and store them. It's only disappointing because it doesn't have the same Milwaukee feel that you get when you first see one of their metal drill cases. I suspect it's cheap because it's been discontinued or just not for sale and I can see why. People buy Milwaukee because they like the quality. It's convenient and cheap, but definitely not high quality.
