Review on High-Performance Magnum Thistle Feeder - Woodlink Model MAG2 by Lara Kaye

I love this feeder! This attracts a lot of birds as they can just sit ANYWHERE on the bird feeder and eat. It's easy to fill and I have 8 or 9 birds on it at a time. The TIP you need to know is that the drainage holes around the round bottom are quite small and there are seeds in there and it rains. This means the seeds stay moist in the round bottom, sticking together in clumps, and since the water doesn't drain, the feed at the bottom of the feeder gets about 1/5 wet and clumpy. Then the birds won't eat it. I took mine off, I'm going to clean it and find a way to punch some more small holes in the bottom or even melt it to allow the water to drain better. As for the rest of the feeder: the wire holding the seeds is flexible. So if it flexes a bit, just bend it back, and despite being exposed to air for over a year, the plastic hasn't become hard and brittle like some items do. Yes, the top and bottom are plastic. But I had no problems with them. I would buy another one (if this one didn't hold up so well) and would recommend it. Don't keep it in an area where it will rain like I did, it won't even be a problem for you. Have fun bird watching!
