Review on Amazon Basics Enameled Cast Iron Covered Dutch Oven, 7.3-Quart, Red by Joshua Pilla

The pot worked GREAT! this isn't my first pot like this and they basically are all the same, except I've had one that was Way more expensive and it was dark on the inside, I didn't really like the dark color due to it browned my bread way too dark. I prefer the lighter one's. any whooo, This particular pot is only rated to 400degrees, . I preheated my oven to 420 cooked the bread for 18 at this degree then raised my oven temp to 440 and cooked the bread the last 15 minutes at 440. removed lid and parchment paper and continued to cook the bread for another 5 to 7 minutes. Perfect! Not overly dark, soft on the inside. so yummmyyyyy. would I buy this pot again. yes. Now just a FYI.Enamel is not impervious to staining due to its a porous product. the lighter enamel will stain some what after continued use, this is NOT a flaw in the product, this is a natural for the enamel pot. If you don't want to see any type of staining buy one that is dark on the inside. DO NOT put any enamel pot in the dishwasher, hand wash only.
