I bought this item on purpose because the specs said it was stainless steel. I had items in my tool box that were rusting so I figured this would be a good investment. Buyer warning! This is NOT stainless steel. Easy to stick on the magnet. Stainless steel is not generally considered magnetic. There are several cheap varieties that are almost non-magnetic. But this tool instantly sticks to a magnet and a weak magnet. So if this suits you then go for it, but it shouldn't be false advertising.
