Review on ✨ Fosmon Professional Stainless Ultrasonic Polisher by Michael Tegan

Ideal for cleaning retainers

I use plastic retainers every night to keep my teeth straight and not grinding in my sleep. Keeping them clean and smelling fresh after years of use is a challenge. I've tried soaking in mouthwash, brushing with toothbrush and toothpaste, washing with soap and water. My dental hygienist recently advised me to try a cheap ultrasonic cleaner, so I bought this model. She works great! I pour cold water from the tap, insert the clamps so that there are no air bubbles and set it to 900 seconds. They come out odorless (good!). It's easier and more efficient than anything I've tried. After 900 seconds, the water is noticeably warmer, but not hot. Plastic clips must not get too hot or lose their shape, so that's important. Out of curiosity, I cleaned a pair of glasses. It's amazing and disgusting to see clouds of dirt even after washing them with soap and water. It has to release debris stuck in places I can't get to. It was fun to try, but I didn't see any difference in clarity through the lenses, so I don't think it's worth doing too often. I'm taking off a star because the machine feels a bit cheap, especially the buttons. Also, the case doesn't appear to be very waterproof, which is silly since the whole point is filling and draining water. But for the price, it's definitely good value for light tasks.
