I use this to measure the draw of the bow. So my comment here doesn't apply to other uses, since the normal weight is constant. Love the product, just wish the display had the ability to "freeze" at the maximum measured weight. Since it doesn't, I have to constantly keep an eye on the dial while slowly drawing my compound bow until it reaches maximum draw just before the reset occurs. However, I have no regrets and will use it for other purposes. things, so a bug doesn't even come close. I've seen comments on here about the assembly of this item, particularly the top where the rubber grommets go into the metal loop. I have no idea why this is a problem for some people, but if it's hard for you to understand then the problem isn't really with the device or the instructions. You simply remove the cotter pin from the bolt, slide the bolt out of the loop, insert the rubber washers into the notches on the top of the device, slide the loop over the washers (fits perfectly) and then slide the bolt back into the loop. it does not slip out of the screw. A very, very, very simple thing.
