Mainly used this to get data from a serial device to an app running on an Android device (specifically a Note8 running Oreo with this OTG adapter). As a result I have an OTG adapter (USBC->USB), then this (USB->Serial) to the device. Not very clean but works well enough for the times I need to use it. Pros: Plug and play with Android (by far the biggest plus). No special applications/drivers are required. Can maintain high data rate with only the power of the device (19.2K for my needs). Cons: The male version must have nuts, not bolts. (They are detachable and standard size, so I fixed them with spare parts.) Does NOT connect to Win10. Comes with drivers but Win10 doesn't install automatically. All in all, I'm sure I could get this to work with Win10 if I really wanted to. Normally I'd berate it for not connecting to Win10, but since I bought it specifically for use with Android and it worked, it gets that star again.
