I've always used cheaper molds, but I started making bread for sale and needed more molds. I ordered a couple of these and was shocked at how much tastier my bread came out. So I threw away the old pots and now I have 6 of them that I use exclusively. I always had to take the other pans out early to avoid a hard crust. Now I can let my 1 pound loaf sit for exactly 30 minutes and it's perfect every time. I love these pans!
