Received these speakers a few days ago. I installed them under my patio to replace the large outdoor speakers I've had for years. The old speakers were hardwired into a home stereo that I no longer have, so the speakers were useless. They were easy to install and luckily I have an outlet at the top where the powered speaker is. It is controlled by a switch in the house as many years ago I replaced the patio light with an outlet which I use to power patio fairy lights. Easy on/off for power. There is no on/off switch for these speakers. The speakers are about 6 feet apart. They connected easily to my iPhone and I use them to play Pandora from my phone. For those who say they don't work with Alexa, you can use the Alexa app from your phone and access Prime Music that way. They sound good for their size. Don't expect studio quality sound or pounding bass. They are designed for moderate playback and offer sound that is more than sufficient for most patios. You won't blow up the neighbors with it. It's true stereo and the separation is pretty good. Oh well. You get 2 weatherproof speakers with built-in Bluetooth amplifier, hardware (metal, not plastic), power supply, and cabling for just $60. Overall I think I made a good purchase and hope they last.
