I've used at least 2 other types of bike computers over the years. Wahoo Elemnt and simple Garmin. I had a hard time finding the right buttons to switch between screens/functions etc from the front panel. The 1030 plus model is equipped with a touch screen (sensitivity adjustable) and a simple and fast movement. Save multiple screens. I set it up as a basic 4 panel screen and can navigate to more detailed screens. I rarely use navigation, I know my routes in advance. I don't want the navigation to take me down roads I want to avoid. I save previous routes and can follow the same route on other occasions to compare my performance and see the time and distance to my destinations. The only downside is that I can't swipe the screen when wearing gloves with full fingers. But then finding and pressing the right buttons with full fingers is cumbersome on other devices. The price is high but in my opinion it's the best you can get and I'm happy with the investment. The screen is larger than most (smaller than a smartphone) but not intrusive.
