Honestly I read the reviews on these from other buyers and was a bit worried about them being hard to assemble but they were very easy. I highly recommend using some soapy water to put on the poles when inserting into the bases and each other. This helped tremendously. My grandson has autism, is 8 and obsessed with road signs. His only complaint was they needed to be taller. To be fair, he's right. For younger kids I do think the current height is great. He quickly figured out what needed to be done to extend them to his liking. He enjoys being able to easily remove the signs and then reassemble them. If you are using these outdoors and they fall over I would suggest either water or sand inside the bases to weight them down. This is not recommended for indoor use as leaking will occur.
