I bought this keyboard because I have long been a fan of the consistent quality I get from Redragon products and I needed a non-mechanical keyboard for my girlfriend, eh She doesn't enjoy the clicks of a mechanical keyboard, enjoy typing on it. This keyboard is the perfect choice for those who want a mechanical feel without the noise. Typing is very quiet and the keys offer good resistance, like typing on a real mechanical keyboard (maybe a little more resistance than my k580). Aside from the keyboard itself, I had some issues with the typing setup as they placed the "G" keys on the left side instead of on top like some of my other boards. I kept making typos at first, but that's negligible once you get used to the keyboard. Another thing I don't mind about this keyboard is that there are fewer color animation options. The LEDs are bright and beautiful, but you only have about 7 customization options compared to my other boards that had up to 18. That's understandable, although unlike my mechanical boards, the LEDs on this board aren't individualized for each key. It's better to split 1/6 of the board at a time. If you're using a custom lighting configuration (the use of which is poorly explained in the manual), you'll see that once activated with Fn + Page Up, you're using Fn + (Keys 1-6 on the top row only) set every sixth of the board a specific permanent color (then lock it by pressing Fn + PgUp again). Since the LEDs are limited to sections and not to each key, there are explicit restrictions that limit the number of possible animation configurations. That didn't bother me personally, since I only use the option that moves the rainbow in all directions anyway. The last thing we need to talk about is the palm rest. It's hard plastic with a very nice texture and the Redragon logo in the middle. This adds some much needed comfort to this board as I have found it sits higher than most of my other boards. It is also very uninstall. The palm rest is magnetic (see photo). There is nothing special you need to do to attach or remove it. Just line up the magnets on the stoppers with the metal tabs on the board and it won't snap and pop out on its own. Losing weight is as easy as losing weight. Overall I think this keyboard is ideal for those who love the feel of a mechanical board but either don't like the sound of a mechanical board (or have a family that doesn't like hearing it). This board offers the excellent performance and responsiveness that I always love to see from Redragon.
