I would highly recommend this film to anyone who is already doing or considering the Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition. My son (3 at the time) loves this movie. It's really cute, well done, and well worth watching for adults too. At that time he couldn't get through every show but this one. We also have the book Elf on the Shelf. The book is great for explaining the "rules" but the movie really warms you up to its elf. The plot of the film tells about a family with two preschool-age twins and a teenage older brother. The older brother no longer believes in Christmas and, while trying to scare his sisters, accidentally knocks (touches) the elf off the perch. And we see what happens to the elf (sad and cute) when you touch it. We see the elf and his friends returning to the North Pole every night, having fun together, singing, talking to Santa Claus, etc. We also see the elf walking around the room every night trying to convince the boy that it's Christmas is real . And of course the story has a happy ending. 😋
