I have now bought 2 of these after breaking my first one. Don't get me wrong, they're sturdy and my first one has survived many falls, but I think it finally decided to hold its breath after falling sideways onto an unopened bottle of hard liquor. I do not deny that the excessive consumption of these spirits could have caused the accident. He served in the daily ministry for almost 9 months before unexpectedly retiring and other than that I have no complaints about him. I have maintained it by only hand washing it; I am not a savage and I know crystal cannot be washed in the dishwasher. It has the perfect hole diameter for a julep strainer, but if you want to be an absolute heretic it can also be used with a Hawthorne strainer. The perfectly formed spout makes pouring clean and easy. The cut (rather than chiseled) minimalist design on the sides gives this crystal a charming understated elegance. 10 out of 10 will buy again or recommend to a friend.
