Very nice black lacquered exterior, with nice and quality silver buckle and lock. Keeper - these are two parallel thin metal rings, which means "double loop" in the name of the belt. The belt only goes once around the waist, which is what I wanted. The inside of the belt says "Faux Leather" and that it is made in China. The belt is as important as you would like it to be; it is neither flimsy nor too bulky. It's also the perfect combination of stiffness (or strength) and flexibility. This is a very useful part of my wardrobe as I can mix and match outfits over open (lighter) cardigans, long knit tops and dresses. Definitely worth the great price.
