These are durable shoes. First, it is durable and does not wear out quickly. It's durable in many ways: the midsole is less soft but still comfortable and offers excellent responsiveness, which is good for speed. I ran my best marathon time in it. The upper is a bit of a shell as it is very supportive and not as flexible. They hold the foot well but sometimes feel too stiff and caused me a bit of pain in an area of the ankle collar when running a marathon in them. They have a wide toe box which is great for toe comfort and health and also prevents blisters as the toes don't rub against each other. They look good, are responsive and overall I'm very happy with them and these were my first Topo shoes. Like Altra, they're lightweight, have a zero-drop midsole, and have a wide box. I would say they are more responsive and feel quicker than most Altras and maybe a little more durable but negatively a little less comfortable.
