My Macbook Pro is getting hot and the fans are going crazy

This product works, but not without unwanted side effects. Recently, after I started using this adapter, my 2017 MacBook Pro started getting hot and the (un)famous Kernel_task started slowing down the CPU. I've tried a few things to diagnose. All sorts of resets/reboots/safe modes etc but to no avail. Then I started removing the external hardware. External monitors, trackpad, keyboard are still out of luck. I then removed the ethernet connection and eventually stopped using that adapter and Kernel_task immediately gave way. And I tried many times because as soon as I use this adapter the problem starts again.
