I bought it to replace a worn tether that I used for years. I should have chosen a shorter length and it isn’t adjustable like the other one. It has better clips than the old one. One end fits in the child safety seat anchor and the other fits in the loops on the dog harness. It is meant to keep the dog from flying out of the car if there is an accident. It is a pretty color and easy to use. I no longer need the carabiner that I needed on the previous one because the clip didn’t fit right.
