I bought this mattress because it's organic and I wouldn't want my child to sleep on anything less than the best (to be honest) and the reviews here are great so we bought ours . 1) The mattress has no smell when you open the box. 2) I immediately noticed the quality of the organic cotton cover and wish I had one on my own bed. 3) I was pleased that this mattress was of good quality and my search for a crib mattress was practically over. The cover is a removable zippered cover for parents to wash. It's probably in the description somewhere, but I thought I'd mention it. C) It has a hard side and a soft side for our little one, which seems to be the right level of sensitivity on each side. My husband and I are happy with this purchase and we each find it to be of good quality. All in all it's really comfortable. This mattress is perfect for a cot. We also bought one of their organic sheets which are perfect for the mattress. The only thing I would recommend is to hang the cover to dry because I've heard that if you tumble dry organic cotton it might be too much. We also have several other mattress replacement sheets. I highly recommend it, it's great but for the money. Would definitely buy another one if we have one next year or so.
