Significantly thicker than the standard gasket on my Chevrolet Silverado Z71 04 5.3L. In many ways, this is the best gasket choice when replacing the stock intake manifold gasket. The reason I replaced the stock shim was a hissing noise, loss of power and a throttle response mismatch. I never had a check engine light, but I could feel a difference in throttle response as the old gasket wore out. I highly recommend replacing the factory knock sensors and wiring harness. USE ONLY FACTORY ELECTRICAL REPLACEMENT PARTS or you will have to take it apart again as GM vehicles are picky about electrical parts. Be sure to reseal the knock sensor canisters with the RTV. Camshaft sensor gasket and crankshaft sensor gasket included. Also included is a new o-ring for the brake booster hose that fits into the back of the manifold. This gasket appears to be about 200% better than the OEM gasket. I am very happy with this purchase. I now have 200,000 miles on my truck, about 7,000 of them with a new seal. The smoke machine has proven to be an excellent sealer. I feel like about 20hp has been restored now that everything is resealed.
