Even commando hooks sometimes peel the paint off my walls. A simple solution is to take some strong Frog or 3M tape and tape it first. Then take the included double sided tape, stick it over the masking tape, then stick the foam over it and voila, an easy solution to saving your furniture if you ever need to take it down. I used a paring knife and very carefully trimmed off the excess. This bank took about 7 minutes. Highly recommend if you don't like going to the ER.
