Review on πŸ“Ά Unlocked Verizon Wireless Internet by LIJINICT by Steve Hardy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Buyers should be careful with routers

I bought one of these to connect to a data only plan from Cricket Wireless. While the manufacturer states that the device is compatible with Cricket SIMM modules, Cricket claims that most third party devices (i.e. NOT Moxee) are not compatible. Maybe it's just hype to boost sales of Moxee, but I've been a Cricket customer for a few years after sharing it with a few others, and Cricket hasn't disappointed (I won't name any other names, y'all know who they are). . ). Your chosen carrier should and may have a way to verify support using the device ID on the outer box. Unfortunately, this identifier isn't advertised by the manufacturer, so you'll need to purchase it before knowing if your provider supports it. It would be nice of them to fix this. I chose not to rate any features of the device or its quality (or the manufacturer) because honestly I didn't get to connect the damn thing. We can say that using a home Wi-Fi hotspot is a viable solution. Mobile phones, laptops and tablets have at least Wireless G, some have Wireless N. Desktop PCs can easily be equipped with a WLAN adapter in the USB port. I've also used just about every type of internet connection imaginable (yes, including dial-up). Broadband is better but not available since we moved to the country. DSL is terrible, but mobile 4G LTE can stream HD videos with no gaps. We have abandoned satellites because they have repeatedly reduced capacity to encourage us to upgrade to more expensive service contracts to restore the performance we are already accustomed to. Sounds gross, but 4G LTE has proven to be a viable alternative.
