We bought this mainly for my wife's new Subaru because her new cars don't have a CD player anymore. The small profile allowed us to place it on the dash and charge it via the cigarette lighter power port with a 4mm audio cable from the headphone jack to the car's aux port. I thought it could be used as a DVD player on long trips. We tried it with relatives on Christmas Eve and it worked. We love being able to turn it off and take it to the hotel with the power adapter and built-in speakers or the included headphones for DVDs or CDs. Good product, good price, so far very satisfied.
