Not sure what this is for. If your goal is to unevenly cut 3/4 of a sheet of paper and then fold the remaining 1/4 then it does its job well, but if you intend to use it to get clean, straight cuts I would discourage you from this purchase. The blade is no blade, to demonstrate this to my roommate, I quickly ran my fingers up and down its length. The design seems to rely on the two pieces of metal, that make up the "blade" and base are close enough to split paper in two, but it defeats its unique purpose. It makes a satisfying sound. If you're a foley artist and need a good paper cutter sound, it's a good buy.
