These wheels are made of hard plastic. The center core of each wheel is thick, so you can't stack them in threes or fours and expect even coverage when you use them. The tips of the bristles are spaced from each wheel. This, along with the stiffness, results in grooves in the metal no matter how quick or light the touch. I use them for sterling silver jewelry, if you weren't using them for something you want to finish they could work really well, but that's the point of using them. I'll try sanding the center of each table to see if I can get them to be closer together on the mandrel when stacked three or four. In my opinion, getting a brand name on it is worth the money. But the thorns are very beautiful.
