Review on 🏍️ TORC T55 Spec-Op Motorcycle Half Helmet: Graphic Design with Convenient Drop-Down Sun Visor by Brad Dotson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The helmet is smaller than indicated in the size chart.

This is a really good looking helmet, the flags are very thin on either side of the helmet and the visor is dark when you flip it down but do not rely on the size chart provided. I wear a size 7 1/2 hat so according to the sizing chart I should be a size Large. Ordered, waited, was excited to only wear a helmet which pushed my head to sit really high and look silly and the chin strap was choking me when I put it on (thought of taking a picture to fasten it post but couldn't bring myself to do it lol). If you wear a 7 1/2, get an extra large. ----- Edit ----- Okay so I sent the large helmet back and got a replacement XL and have been wearing it for a little over a month now. . I really wanted that helmet. I love the design and in theory I liked the flip up sun visor so I can leave the clear lenses in my goggles at night and use the built in visor during the day. On the plus side, the visor is quite dark and as my eyes are very bright light sensitive this is important. Here's the downside - not sure if it's the shape of the visor or anything else, but I get a LOT more. the wind blows directly into my eyes than with normal sunglasses. I thought it would block more wind because the visor is larger than my Oakley half jackets, but Oakleys actually block more wind from my eyeballs than the visor. Strange. I've also found that the visor tends to vibrate when it's windy, which clouds my vision a bit. The only thing I can understand is that it is attached to the helmet so it blows a little but all I know is that I don't get that effect with sunglasses but in strong winds I get it with a visor. It's a comfortable helmet, it's light and I like the way it feels in sunglasses, but to be honest I would have preferred the $35 skid cap which is a bit thinner in profile because it doesn't have one bit has more for the visor to slide inside. . The helmet is not bad, but I will not buy a second one.
