Review on Aluminum Wall Mounted Retractable Clothes Drying Rack for Laundry Room, Garage, Indoor & Outdoor Use, Black (1 Rack) by Angel Harris

Works well but noisy at the door

When I first got the coat rack I was skeptical as it looks cheap. Decided to give him a chance and scored a goal. I've been using it for about a month now and I have to say there are things I like and dislike. What I like is that it's really easy to install. We have it in our pantry door, which is actually more like a closet, so it has a regular inner door, not a closet door. I wanted it to hang shirts when I take them out of the dryer and it's perfect for that! Right now I have about 15 shirts at most (a mix of men's t-shirts and sweatshirts) so I'd say the max right now is around 5-8 pounds. He kept it easy. I also like that 7 times out of 10 it's really easy to close the backup when you're done. The other 3 times those weird hooks hanging from a bar get caught on the outer edge of the lid and it can be a headache trying to pull them off and out of the way to close it completely. This is an example of why I don't like it. Another reason is that because it's so light, when you open the door the lid sounds like it's opening and can really scare you when you're not expecting it (like my fiancé does every day). This annoyed me for the first few days, but then I realized it was funny to hear my fiancé scolding the hanger because it would hurt him when he ate it. Aside from those weird hooks that keep getting in the way, it does the job well and I'll keep it to myself scaring my fiancé to death!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automation
