I am a real estate appraiser and like the rest of the world most of my documents are transmitted via some sort of digital protocol. That is, my clients never receive the so-called "hard copy" of the report. That's not to say I don't print on paper a lot, as I'll probably print 100-150 sheets of paper for each job, including a hard copy of my file. However, the only people who see the printed pages are my reviewer and myself, and I'm not afraid of minor imperfections. The paper is then put into a collection box and recycled after five years. Perhaps every sixth cartridge does not work, that is, the marks it leaves on paper even hurt my condescending and thrifty feelings. I simply put in another cartridge and throw away the defective one. The cost of a cartridge is much lower compared to a new HP device, e.g. H. $30 vs $100, I just consider it a business expense. Saving $70 on a cartridge could result in one in six rejections. I'm a Zen believer in the art of motorcycle maintenance which is why I say quality is important to me. However, if no one ever sees him, maybe everything is fine. If I were independently wealthy I wouldn't use anything other than HP. But of course I would not work as a real estate appraiser.
