I bought a cheaper version with 2 fans for an ASUS gaming laptop, thinking I'd just try one to see if it even helps with my overheating issues. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well this thing works! I've had some serious frame drops due to overheating which has rendered some games unplayable (at the time of writing I'm citing Battlefield and Call of Duty Warzone as the culprits). I tried a workaround where you lift the back of the laptop to increase airflow with mixed results, but the CPU still reached the point of overheating even with all settings set to low in both games. With the addition of this cheap dual-on cooling pad with fan, both games will now run smoothly at ultra or high settings. I can't believe it worked. Lol If you use a gaming laptop and have CPU cooling issues for more demanding games I highly recommend trying one of these. It has worked wonders and I was very skeptical.
