The device must be switched on each time it is used.
It works and sounds great but I bought it to connect my phone wirelessly. Although I can use it without being physically connected to my phone, it turns off the power. So the next time I want to use it, I'll have to reach for my stereo where it's plugged in to turn it back on before I can use Bluetooth from my phone. It defeats the purpose of being able to connect remotely.
