I bought this product because I thought it would be more than just a convenient way to store my GPS and carry it from car to car , but also to give me a way to set my GPS without using the windshield. It works great as an enclosure, but not as a mounting device. However, the problem arises because I treat my dashboard with a preservative that greatly reduces the friction coefficient of the dashboard. Rapid acceleration or cornering will cause the GPS to slide off the dashboard despite the internal weight. A good suggestion was made to use a thin glue stick under the hull. If it works it will solve the problem and I will be very happy.
