These manifolds look very nice but the color they come with is not a high temperature coating. It is only intended to prevent rusting in storage and will burn when in use. You will need to either sandblast or chemically remove the paint and then repaint if you want a durable finish. I knew this before I bought it, but I didn't expect that getting into all the crevices would be as difficult as with paint stripper or new paint. If I were to do it again I would definitely buy ceramic coated headers. They cost a few hundred more but the disappointment is worth the saving.
