Intermittent HDMI disconnects

It gets hot when you use it to send power to your device. I keep getting HDMI disconnects. It is what it is. I think a more expensive device would be a better choice. Being a fairly simple device and having simple plans for it with simple expectations. I thought the average price was enough.
