Review on Efficient High-Temperature Kitchen Cleaner: Angry Mama Microwave Cleaner Easily Eliminates Crud in Minutes by Steam Cleaning with Vinegar and Water by Lauren Lewis

I love this unit both for its quirky looks and for its handy feature of cleaning microwave surfaces near food without using toxic chemicals. I had Angry Mama for a few years and used it often until the day I destroyed it. This was due to one of my own shortcomings, namely my skepticism about the validity of expiration dates. Because of this, there was a lot of stale food in my kitchen, many of which were so spoiled that they were clearly long past their usefulness and should have been discarded a long time ago. I used one of these legacy products in a way that I clearly shouldn't, as it turns out. Specifically, instead of diluting some fresh white vinegar when using my ANGRY MAMA, I foolishly used some VERY OLD APPLE VINEGAR in place of what was needed. The heavily deposited dirt in this aged apple cider vinegar appears to have absorbed much more heat than pure white vinegar, leading to unpredictable results. As soon as the microwave was switched on, the vinegar mixture began to sizzle loudly, soon interrupted by sharp bursts, a loud crack, then an eerie bluish glow and the emission of copious amounts of acrid blue-black smoke. Soon the bottom of the container melted through, throwing the mass that had accumulated inside it into the microwave oven for further baking on the surface. Fortunately, these sights and sounds were not ignored and the microwave oven was quickly turned off before any further undesirable events could occur. So I needed a new Angry Mama. I searched between several different listings and found one that shipped 4 units for about the same price as a unit from another seller. There was one kind of potential catch, however: multiple mums came in a plain box, rather than each being wrapped in their own fancy retail-style box, potentially limiting the use of the gift.
