Fantastic look. Turns out I like it better than the original glass cover that came with the device. The bulb in one of my ceiling lights blew out while my husband was away on business. Normally he would take care of such things. I needed this area to be lit and flashing in anticipation of his homecoming gets old very quickly. So I pulled out the ladder and with great trepidation climbed up the ladder to unscrew the bracket to replace the lightbulb. Okay, I did that, but screwing the jar lid back on while balancing precariously on a ladder wasn't something I wanted to do. It is easier to remove a screw than to put it back in, as the angle of the screw is often awkward. I also didn't like the ugly exposed lightbulb. I purchased this item and connected it to a lightbulb. I love it! It looked better than the original mount which had to be screwed on to cover the protruding bulb and this one emitted a lot more light. I liked it so much that I bought two more units for some of the extra lights I had in other rooms. The three original glass covers are now in the attic, making a mess and taking up space.
