Review on ๐Ÿงผ Efficiently Tackle Stubborn Grime with Simple Solutions AGB888 Aluminum Grunge Brush by Bobby Frazier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Five chains M/C, still great

Read many reviews, some say brush is worn out after one use, bristles keep bending, too loose, broken insertsโ€ฆ. I don't know exactly what they are doing to achieve this. Yesterday I cleaned four 520 and one 530 motorcycle chain with it and it looks almost new. Still firmly attached to the chains, no permanent deformation. All I can think of is that these people used an incompatible solvent or they tried pumping this thing up to polish a badly rusted chain. I used WD40 as a thinner for reference because I didn't have kerosene or diesel on hand. So let's get to the rating. I know you were looking forward to it! Cleaned 3 very dirty chains just returned from 1000 miles of off road adventures, 2 chains mostly new (300 and 1000 miles) from pure road use. Two clean chains perfect and easily cleaned. Three ugly chains were soaked in mud, exposed to lots of heavy dust, rain, rocks and more dust, then left for 3 months before cleaning. Yes, I deserve a slap in the face for that, but the job grabbed me and sent me abroad for two months, and then I had a few other things to do before I got there. I ask for mercy. Anyway, I pressure washed them first, then sprayed them liberally with WD40 and let them sit for a few minutes. Sprayed another coat of WD40, another 40 on the brush and passed the chain through the brush 3 or 4 times in each direction. I then wiped it as clean and dry as possible with newspaper and paper towels to remove the WD40 so it wouldn't (hopefully) dilute the chain lube. Pros: The brush really makes cleaning the chains a lot easier than using a straight brush. or a toothbrush. Path. Saves your joints a lot of pain too. I was really surprised how well it works and as mentioned above I don't see any damage or wear on the brush inserts. Neutral Characteristics: Please note that this is a hard nylon brush. This is NOT a wire brush. It cannot remove rust and you must use a solvent to loosen old grease and dried dirt. Maybe the people who once tore them wiped them dry? Brothers. Do not do that. Cons: To be honest, none of them can be traced back to the brush. It can't remove rust because it's the wrong brush. Rust on your chain is YOUR fault (okay, my fault in this case) and the penalty for your chain rusting is that you will soon have to buy a new one. Eat it, muffin. If you run the chain through the brushes or the brush over the chain, all those little bristles will bounce back and spray dirt all over the bike. your hand. Tires. Earth. But that's physics, not a brush problem. First put newspaper or cardboard underneath, lift the paper or cardboard between the chain and rod, and I also chose to loosely wrap the brush and chain with newspaper. It's torn up, but who cares? It catches most splashes and makes cleaning easier. Am I glad I bought a brush - very much! Will she fix your lousy grooming - no. But it cleans the chain very well if you use any kind of solvent and don't expect miracles.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
