Useful, can also be used when the children are older.

I really like it. To avoid corrosion of stainless steel products, I dry them well before storage. If they get wet (dirty or clean) they can rust. They can be washed open in the dishwasher, when I take them out they are dry so I can put them back in the drawer. It is also important to wash after use. I keep a couple or two in my diaper bag and when I get home after using them I put them in the next wash. With these care measures, my scissors lasted about 2 years with daily use. I'm probably buying my 7th set now (some left with grandparents, forgotten in restaurants, broken ones)
