If you catch it early I believe this cushion will 100% prevent flat feet but will also reverse if caught early in 2-3 months. I caught mine at 4.5 months and she has improved about 50-60%. We still have to get the helmet, but only for 2 months, because I started using it right after the diagnosis. CONS - the rough part of the pillow removes the baby's hair a little. AND NO, I DID NOT TURN THE WRONG PAGE. Velcro of course points down. On the other hand, however, the material to which it adheres shows that the hair falls off a little. It is worth avoiding or correcting a flat head if necessary. Hope that helps.
