We use the detachable shower hose to power blast whatever does not make it into the toilet. Even then, the diaper rash ointment still left stains. Siiigh.In the end, we keep disposables around for outings so we don't have to travel with a wet or soiled mess bag. The trips to the store are much less. However, whatever we save in disposable diaper cost we make up for in the work to knock 'em, rinse 'em, then wash 'em as well as the absorbent cloths that go inside.You have the option of laying this cloth on the inside. We did at first to avoid staining these beautifully designed diapers. The down side to that is your baby is going to wiggle and move and the cloth will not stay put. So the mess still gets on the white cotton lining of the diaper. So you now have two things to clean stains off of.
