Review on Corsair QL Series Ql120 RGB LED Fan [Triple Pack] - Lighting Node Core Included by Harel Leary

So I was very happy to get these fans. I bought 5 in total. In terms of value for money they do exactly what they advertise and they are very pretty so the person buying them can decide how much it costs. My 2 star rating (was almost 1 star, had to wait to calm down) is directly related to how nearly impossible they are to install. I built a brand new computer and was able to fit it into the suitcase while it was empty. I thought it was going to be a pretty straight forward build, and it probably would be if it weren't for those fans. The supplied screws do not fit into the holes in the fan housing at all. Struggling with the first one I was sure it was just bad bolts or the factory had made a mistake, but I was wrong. Installing each fan took over an hour. I fiddled with each self tapping screw for more than 5 hours for each hole, almost 15-20 minutes per screw. I'm a strong person who works in construction and I have very strong hands but I had blisters and cramps putting enough pressure on these screws to fit without removing the screws and I took one anyway few of them off. . I don't think anyone without above average performance will stand a chance of installing these things. And if you're replacing an existing fan and can't fit both arms (yes, of course) in the case, forget it. You could buy new screws that fit, but for the premium price of these fans, Corsair should have supplied matching screws. I don't recommend these fans to anyone, but if you do decide to buy them, do yourself a favor and purchase other screws before attempting to install them.
