Normally I am a bit skeptical about buying unbranded products, made in China. However, I (along with many other reviewers, it seems) were very impressed by the quality and weight of this. I ordered the 4-pattern because at the time I needed this, the 8-pattern was unavailable. The 8-pattern would have been preferred. During my grandfather's days, tools were made to last. I remember the garden hose nozzle he had feeling similar to this one.While it says 100% metal, that's not entirely true. The thumb adjuster is plastic, as are some side parts on the handle grip. However, more of this is made of metal than most hose handles I've seen at the big box home stores, which barely last a single season. I am not sure what type of metal this is made of. I left it outside in the rain for 2 weeks to see if it would get rust spots. It did not.This really gives off a good water jet! It's a solid stream and although a couple of the settings are just a variation, you get a decent mist/soaker setting and a jet. It's easy to toggle between the settings by turning the head . and the on/off switch being a thumb toggle is nice because you can keep a stream going without having to hold in a handle . the press handle operation of cheaper units also rely on springs, which break easily.The only complaint I have about this is that the handle is a bit small for my hands. It doesn't fit well and makes it somewhat uncomfortable to hold, as a result. A little longer on the handle and this would be perfect. It may also be hard to find the screen replacement, which is likely going to need replacing within a year or two of use.Overall, this is a fantastic and well made hose handle. It has a nice solid feel and weight to it and is likely to last a long time. I was surprised at the quality given the price . it feels more like the garden tools that were sold 20+ years ago which still work today vs. the products sold at the big box home stores which are designed to fail and need to be repurchased each year.
