I came across a printer, it is a windows wireless connection. Apple WiFi, Ethernet and USB connectivity is impeccable. Excellent machine until I try to connect wirelessly from Windows 10 Pro. Extremely high value for money. First Rating: The design, the quality and the reliability of the devices are excellent. The printer takes amazing pictures. For $209, this printer does what a $10,000 printer couldn't do ten years ago. BUT! The UI is straight from 1995. Tiny LED screen, needs a flashlight to read. Unexpected network problems that can only be fixed by downloading Canon's diagnostic and repair utility. I've spent 30 years in IT and computing, so I'm used to crappy UI projects. This UI design sucks. This is exactly what I have experienced again and again in my career as a technical writer and user interface tester. Engineers work wonders and the user interface is neglected. Don't buy this device unless you're sure you can figure out Windows network issues, download the right utility to diagnose and fix those issues, and maybe mess around with your network to get things working . The first morning after I set everything up correctly, it took half an hour for the printer to reconnect to the network and start printing. Shame on you Canon. This UI is terrible. Update after 100 images and 20 printed text pages: - Unexpected and inexplicable network problems. The printer suddenly disappeared from the network. I ended up having to uninstall the printer and reinstall it in Windows 10 before it worked again. It took me about 45 minutes of troubleshooting and trawling the windows menu and network troubleshooter to "fix" this *(&$ network problem. More like a "Canon Crash in UI" problem. Pictures were printed excellent. Text printed great. But *another* network issue? What is it in 1990? If the press was in an Apple printer and had an Apple user interface, this printer would sell for $999. The press is like that good. I can handle this crap. because I was somewhere in 1990 and was fixing network issues. Maybe someone who wasn't would be fully played. Other reviewers are talking about network issues. I understand why to the internet. - You have a flashlight and a Magnifying glass to read user's tiny LCD - wa c is suitable for a printer too dumb to "fall asleep" and wake up on a print command Buy a cheap Brother printer and I reserved this printer for my hobby of photo printing. I don't mind tweaking things when I print photos. But when I'm working I want the printer to be %$%$ JUST SAD!
