Simple fix, will it last?

After going to a local tailor and getting a $30 offer to fix a broken zipper on a $25 jacket, I decided to fix it myself. A few YouTube videos after a whopping five minutes of work and the broken zipper is fixed. It's not perfect, but I don't care as long as this jacket lets you zip it up. It was relatively new when the zipper broke so getting rid of it wasn't on the agenda. To be honest it cost almost $30 to buy everything I needed (repair kit, zipper pliers and gorilla glue) but if it happens again there will be no cost as I have everything I need for again need the repair. The question "Will this last?" comes into play due to a video on YouTube claiming that repairing the bottom box is impossible, and if it is, not for long. I guess time will tell but for now the minimal effort and time I put into the repair was well worth it. The part that fell off the "bottom box" was the one holding the tab/slider on the jacket or bottom brace. It fell into the dryer and although the stop itself was lost, luckily I was able to salvage the tongue/slider. On the advice of one of the YouTube videos, I attached a new bottom stay to the jacket with Gorilla glue and then crimped it with pliers. Voila. Ready! It literally took me longer to figure out the kit myself and find the part I needed than it did to fix it. Overall I'm happy with the results and this kit. I probably have more zip pieces than I've ever used, but they'll be there if I ever need to fix another jacket, or the one I'm referring to again.
