This product works well for VDI deployments where we require large amounts of RAM - it doesn't have much headroom due to its limitation to 32GB or 64 GB at that time - so you don't get any savings by going above this memory limit. If your looking into buying one server then do not hesitate because as soon I know there will be better products coming out in few months when new version comes up then maybe by that time this model has been replaced so buy only if need arises now! For us the biggest use case was providing virtual desktops running Windows 7 / 8 client computers within the organization which requires virtual ram amount higher than what can run on physical servers hence had no other option apart of purchasing these units. VDI appliance has been able to meet my expectations for being able to have an easy way to deploy both Windows as well as Linux OSs. We have had problems connecting to VMware servers but they were very quick at resolving those issues. Also, we can use this product without having to deal with licensing issues since it's cloud based so there aren't any licenses required. It makes deployment/migration much easier.
