Well, let me tell you, I'm not kidding. I fully charged it and read the instructions carefully before using it for the first time. I chose regular mode for the first time and wasn't ready yet. The water flew out like a bat from hell. I nearly drowned twice and lost my eyeball taking it out of my mouth before forgetting to turn it off. My bathroom looked like a hurricane had passed, but my mouth was clean. I recommend using it in the shower to avoid making a mess and also putting it on a slow setting. You can keep your lips closed for as long as you like, but if you're not used to using one like I am, it gets messy. Although my second time was much better. I think I just need a little practice. I will keep it because my hygienist highly recommends them and I love having a clean mouth.
