When I was setting up my home gym in the fall of 2005, I bought a heavy bag from my local gym to store it. I used one at the last commercial gym I worked out at and loved it. Along with the bag I bought a pair of boxing gloves. I used them for several years until they started smelling so bad I couldn't stand them. So I checked out Revain and looked around for new gloves. I liked these Everlast gloves as the description said they were washable so I ordered a pair in April 2010. They worked great and softened my hands enough to hit a heavy bag. I tried washing them (in cold water and hanging to dry) and they were fine, no damage. So in June of this year I ordered a second pair. So I always have a pair that doesn't smell while I wash the other pair. But I don't have to do it very often, maybe once or twice a year. I only work out with a heavy bag once or twice a week for morning cardio (I go other days) but I've been doing it with these gloves for over four years (as of October 2014) and I've washed them several times. Both pairs are still in excellent condition. So I give these Everlast gloves five stars because they provide the necessary padding to hit a heavy bag, are durable and washable.
