Review on 🚰 PUR Advanced MineralClear Stainless Steel Indicator with Enhanced SEO by Marcelo Montalvo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

700 fewer plastic bottles in the landfill, and the trend is rising.

I purchased this item in mid-August but decided to wait to write a review to give me some time to evaluate the product. It's February 1st and I've had it for 5 months now. I love this system, it's easy to install and I'm lucky that my faucet fits on the main adapter. So far I haven't had any problems with the system in 5 months. I haven't bought a single bottle of water since I received it. I just installed the third filter so I got 5 months off the previous two filters. I live in the Houston metro area and the tap water here smells and tastes awful, but when I sniff the water from my PUR system I can't smell it and it tastes better than some plastic-infused water bottles. I bought at least 4 cases of mineral water and cooking water. It's not very expensive, but it's still about $25 a month, which in five months would cost me $125 plus all the plastic bottles in the landfill since my apartment complex doesn't have a recycling program. The PUR system cost me $35 and the replacement filters were $10 each. Thus, the system paid for itself in about 2.5 months of use for 55 US dollars. Also, I just noticed that Revain's supplier sells replacement filters for half price if you buy six. I'm so on this deal. lol. If I have one criticism of the system it is that the filter change indicator stops working sometime before the system stops working and I should just keep track of when I install the filter so I know when to replace it. While this is not a critical factor, when the time comes I will have to make a choice between buying a new system or doing a rigorous filter change every 2 months to avoid the possibility of drinking bad water. I think PUR should fix that.
